France Reverses, Goes After Digital Pirates

The French Parliament appears poised to reverse itself and pass a new law that would toss ditigal pirates off the internet. It’s a three strikes and you’re out law. 

The New York Times has a post  explaining the reversal of an earlier vote by the same Parliament.

    The bill violates the EU constitution (ratified by France) that requires that no one can be cut off from Internet access on these grounds without review by a court of competent jurisdiction.

    This is Sarkozy doing the bidding of the large international corporate copyright holders who financed his election. They’re getting more American every day.
