Jennifer Jones, Oscar Winning Actress, Art Lover

She got her start in the 1930s. David O. Selznick saw her screen test, and made her a star…later marrying her. She was 1943′s Best Actress Oscar Winner for “Song of Bernadette.” Later in life she ran the Norton Simon Museum of Art in Pasadena.
Jones died this morning in Malibu, according to the museum. She was 90.
Sad.
My grandfather was a sculptor, and one of his pieces was featured in a Jennifer Jones film….she was a ‘oner’ for sure.
She was a real beauty. We went to the same highschool … different generation, but even when I was there, the teachers spoke of her.
