2009: Box Office Up 10%, Total Revenues down 4%
That’s the final scorecard for the top 100 U.S. media companies, according to an Advertising Age study. The total revenue decline follows a flat 2008.
The record setting theatrical box office totals seem to be holding up an otherwise still bad environment. Advertising supported media of all kinds seems to have done poorly.

I don’t see that in the document you linked, which seems to be about the Top 100 media companies. Which, actually, looked pretty good ex-print (Newspapers and Magazines) in the context of the greatest financial meltdown in three generations. If my math is right, I make it 2.8% to the good minus newspapers and magazines. . . .who make Hulu look like pikers in the “giving the product away for free” sweepstakes.
