Hollywood Security Officers Say “What about us”
In an ad posted on the Hollywood Reporter’s site, the SEIU skewers Fox with the story of a security guard at the Fox lot. The headline says “In one weekend, Fox Studios’ Avatar grossed $77 million.” Below it is the picture of Rosario Garcia, a security officer who works (probably not for long) for Andrews International, the contractor which provides security at the lot, and at Sony and Disney. The cut line “Last Year, I Grossed $25,000.”
The ad links to the SEIU site, which says SEIU is running an organizing campaign for the security guards.
